Kate Boydell.
Over the past 7 months like all of us on here, I have used this site , it has been a life saviour at times, and today I was talking to a friend and we both agreed that kate deserves a MBE a dame hood, she has saved so many lives, mine included, I can still remember the night I felt like killing myself and how I would do it, but some how coming on here helped a great deal, that and my wonderful son. But this site helps us all, in talking, relating, realising that everything we feel is normal. I think Lesley batch did a link a while back about the same thing. So I think what I am trying to say is, what do you all think?

Re: Kate Boydell.
Yes. It has kept me sane, and given me hope when all felt lost.
I have often reflected how widows from earlier times, such as the 1st WW, coped. They felt the pain the same way we do. They had so little to support them.
I will always, always be grateful to Kate for setting this up.

Re: Kate Boydell.
How I agree with those sentiments. I too was brought back from the brink of making an imminent exit from this life by people on here who almost ended up with repetitive strain injury from the messages I was receiving trying to convince me otherwise. Well I'm still here 8 months on and although I still don't want to be in this life I feel I am less likely to actively physically do something about exiting it now although I know I'm not out of the woods yet on that score. I know I wouldn't have managed to come as far as I have without the support I have had on here, it truly has been a lifeline.
Much love Cas xx

Once again
Yes Yes Yes
When Tony died so suddenly, nobody understood. Family and friends still don't. I don't think they ever will.
This was and is the only place I can come to for comfort.
How do we do this ?

Re: Kate Boydell.
I totally agree with you Debbie. Every day I am thankful for this site and grateful to Kate for the foresight she had in setting it up. I don`t know where I would have been without it. Literally a lifesaver. I have made wonderful friends through it whom I would never have met otherwise. No one else understands like the MW`s. I would never have made it this far without everyone here and this wonderful site.

Re: Kate Boydell.
YES, I totally agree.
One of the beauties also is that we don't have to live in the UK. This site is for people and though I often still feel a bit strange you all do a wonderful job to let me be part of the family.
I is 6.42 here and I am already awake for some time, feeling very lonely, even panicking and who are there to read and to talk to?
You all are.
It IS a lifesaver to me too.
I really wouldn't have known what to do and how to get through these first months without you all.
Tears and laughing are healing. It does me a power of good to read the humor. It isn't always that sad here.
Thank you all for posting, answering and above all Thank you Kate for the brilliant creation of this site.
Love, Carla

Re: Kate Boydell.
I completely agree that without this site i may not be here today.
It was a brilliant idea to set this site up and i bet over the years Kate has helped countless numbers of people by doing so.
I too will always be grateful to kate for her book and especially this site.
love Berni D x
p.s. I thank kate also for her humour in the book and in her diary as when i have been at rock bottom its the invisible ladder that always pulls me back. (Oh and Bette).
