Any Taffies fancy a meet?
I'm not sure if we're allowed to do this i.e. organise stuff on this site so sorry if I'm breaking rules - please tell me - but I'm from near Cardiff and I wanted if there was anyone within travelling distance who might fancy a night out one Thur/Fri. I work on Saturday and the Way foundation always seem to meet then and I can never go. I have nothing particular in mind - there's comedy clubs in Cardiff as well as nice restaurants and bars, particularly on the bay, or maybe somewhere a bit more central like Swansea or something. It's just a thought cos you can't really tell from the messages where people are from. Anyway, thought if there was a group of us fancied meeting up maybe we could organise something. Cassie.

Hi Cassie,
I'm from Aberystwyth (mid west wales) but could come to a meet near Cardiff as my grandparents live there (Rhondda) so i'd have somewhere to sleep!
How many Welshies are there here anyway?

I'm an honorary taffie, my sister lives in Penarth, I'm housesitting at the moment. Down here often, Cardiff Bay is the nicest place to go out ever, I love it!
Also, I am a Phillips as my husband was mainly welsh & part greek . Bless him!

Cool - that's three of us then! Not sure how or when but does Cardiff Bay seem like the best idea cos that's lovely and also probably centralish from Penarth, Rhondda and Caerphilly.
What do you fancy doing? Comedy Club? Meal? Just drinks and see how it goes?
How about Friday 13th (ooh? Bit spooky?) or maybe Friday 20th? Any good for you two and anyone else who may be interested?

Personally something quite quiet and easy (like a meal) would feel easiest for me. So that we would have the opportunity to get to know you both better.
Am open to everyone else's adea of a good night though!
Friday 13th (July I assume?) works for me.Nolonger worry about bad luck!

I cant make 13th as I'm going home next weekend. But if you do meet up, I'll be thinking about you and maybe I can make it for the next one.
Wenna, the glee club is excellent. If you dont laugh, it's dark and you can cry as much as you want.

Hi! It's a shame that we can't do a date that we're all free for but I'm up for meeting on the 13th Wenna if you are. I'm also free on the 27th if that's any good for both of you.
I also wondered whether to mention it to the Way Foundation - although they are the Cardiff based one. I've never been to any of their outings (I think I mentioned) because they're always on Saturdays which I can't do cos of work, but it did occur to me that I could just let them know if and where we were going to meet. What do you reckon?
Wenna - I'll email you direct probably tomorrow evening cos I'm working tomorrow in the day.
