Thank you for the posts to 'dreaming'. I was very busy the whole day with my youngest - she had parties, played her harp at windsor castle, and won two prizes at speech day. I am very proud of her. The eldest shut herself away for the whole weekend in her room (she also had friday off school and did not appear for the whole day). She emerged to complain that she had missed out on remembering Daddy's birthday, but it's difficult to involve somebody who refuses to speak to you. Today she needed to be in school on time but refused to get up. In the end she stormed out of the house saying that she hated me (and some other words I won't repeat).
If anybody judges my nothering by my youngest then I am a very 'shiny' mother, but if they were to judge me by my eldest they'd be calling social services.
Actually I must be feeling a bit better - last week her behaviour would have crushed me, today, I'm just annoyed.
