The Guide
Group therapy sessions, counsellors and concerned friends are all very well, but sometimes you can't talk about what you are going through. My aim in writing this guide is to give an honest and frank account of what you are likely to encounter in the months and years ahead, and I hope that by reading it, you can avoid some of the pitfalls that I have stumbled into over the last four years.
The process of loss and recovery is a long and painful one - I would be lying if I said otherwise, but you might find that somewhere along the way you discover that you are capable of more than you ever though possible.
The guide is divided up into chapters, which can be chosen from below. Alternatively, you can read the whole guide by clicking here or download the guide in PDF format by clicking here (You will need Acrobot Reader).
BBC Radio interviews (Radio Shropshire)
If you would like to hear me in full-flow about widowhood, please click on the following link, and you will be able to listen to an interview that I did on BBC Radio Shropshire back in 2004. I would like to thank my friend Jane McIntire, for producing the show, Jim Hawkins, for being such a genial host, and the management at BBC Radio Shropshire, for kindly allowing me to use the clip.'
